Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,

As we prepare for the start of the new school year, there are currently (as of August 31st) no Governor Executive Orders and/or State Health Department mandates that are required to be followed by schools related to COVID safety protocols.

The Julesburg Board of Education believes that parents are the best decision makers when it comes to the safety of their child.  Therefore, we encourage all parents to research, in consultation with their medical doctor, the COVID health risks, safety recommendations and make decisions in accordance with the guidance you believe is important to the safety of your child.

In the future, if new mandates are issued or if we experience a high rate of COVID transmission at school among our students and/or staff, we may need to implement higher precautionary measures, such as, but not limited to: Increased physical distancing;  Temporary Masking; Targeted quarantining; etc.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me via email: ehnes @julesburg.org at your earliest convenience.
