Kindergarten was busy today making our online school of fish 🐟 swimming through Zoom! Thank you Mrs. Paiz and parents!! We had fun!!





Preschool had a great second week of blended home learning! We had a lesson on patterns and read a counting book about monsters! We finished our week with a bunny drawing!




5th and 6th graders were charged with creating a table made of paper to hold at least 3-5 pounds. 5th grader Turner Weisshaar created a paper table that held 170 pounds!




Some math students are solving story problems on factors using the Khan Academy site.


First graders worked hard last week on the ou and ow sounds. Great job!!




Junior, Jared Ehmke, presents his Land Art project via Zoom. High school art students have been working on a Land Art project inspired by artists like Andy Goldsworthy. Using natural items found in their backyard they were to create a visual interesting composition.



The sophomores practicing thesis statements as they hear about other classmates topics!


Kindergarten worked so hard this week during their zoom meetings that for math today we decided to get up and move and do some Jack Hartmann videos. Good job kindergarten!

The eighth graders are learning about Operations on Radical Expressions in their Algebra 1 class. They played tic-tac-toe against each other to practice what they learned.



This week, Junior High Art students were tasked with collecting objects from around their house to create a color wheel that follows the ROYGBIV order. This is an introduction to color theory that they will continue to build on as we move forward!


COVID-19 Update: Governor Polis has extended his Executive Order suspending in-person instruction until April 30. During his press conference today, he reiterated that in-person instruction is unlikely to resume this year.


The freshmen class worked in a live session during science this morning discussing what they know, how they feel, and questions they have about COVID-19. We also began our discussion about using reliable sources to answer questions about the virus and being critical of information! Loving that I get to interact with the students even from a distance!


(Part 2/2) Just before spring break, our high school girls participated in the 1st Sonia Kovalevksy Day at Colorado State University. At this event, young women were given the opportunity to explore what mathematics can offer in a different format than a traditional classroom setting. The students learned about ongoing research in mathematics and took part in fun workshops like the games of SET and Hackenbush, the probability involved in winning rock-paper-scissors and Let’s Make a Deal (Monty Hall), and cryptography where they decoded hidden messages.
