Ever wonder what goes on in an after-school teacher (staff) meeting? Here, the JES Teacher Impact Teams are using a student work analysis protocol to determine where students need more support and enrichment along with discussing ideas for adjusting instructional practice with other teachers. This protocol helps teachers better understand how students experience the tasks given and how the grade level learning intentions are reflected in student responses.

3rd graders transformed into superheroes in celebration of their 100th day of school. They decorated their capes with 100 items.
Preschool spent some time exploring our senses this past week. Their favorite part was the taste test!
The new ESports team competed in their first official League of Legends matches today against Valor Christian! They will compete every Tuesday and the Rocket League players will compete every Thursday.
100th Day of School Collections for Second Grade

February 14th was not only the 100th day of school, but for 5th graders it was the 1000th day of school for them! WOW!! They enjoyed doing a STEM project where they were given several different supplies and had to come up with a design using 1000 different pieces
Kindergarten is working on understanding the numbers 0-100. They worked on number puzzles to help with this skill. Perfect timing for the 100th day of school! 😊
Team Bonin from Domesti-PUPS spent the morning visiting students at the Julesburg High School. Callie, the therapy dog, and her handler, Eileen are certified to provide mental and emotional therapy to those in need. An inherent trait in humans is the need for attachment to others. Team Bonin provided that attachment! When a student looks at a dog, strokes her and talks to her, their blood pressure goes down, their temperature decreases and the sense of well-being increases. Callie was even able to detect when the student or teacher needed a hug!
