Some Science fun in Kindergarten today!

Civil War puppets are a great way to review our unit in second grade. The kids had a great time remembering what each important "character" did.

A beautiful day calls for class outside! Second graders grabbed a clipboard and a pencil to draw six different plant species. Our science unit involves learning about animals and their habitats. In the beginning they focus on butterfly habitats. Butterflies have to find cover or shelter to survive. The plant varieties provide cover and food for butterflies.

Mapping the ocean wrapped up our module in second grade on earth and the changes that occur.
Students first made a model of the ocean, then they traded their models and mapped it.

Partner games help second graders pick the bigger number. It's similar to the card game "war" but they're practicing hundreds, tens, and ones.

Sixth grade took their chances on a probability activity. They had to calculate the probability of landing on each section of a spinner and then they got to test it out. Who knew math could be so fun?

Interns-Joseph and Andrew- partnered together today to lead the Kindergarten math lesson. Way to go gentlemen!
