1st grade enjoyed an ice cream treat for being the class with the most pawsome tickets!

Here are some more pictures of second grade eating with chopsticks.

What do you do when you complete the unit on Ancient China? In second grade we eat rice with chopsticks! Students got to learn about the Great Wall of China, inventions from the Chinese, and complete a family tree about their ancestors.

A big Thank You to Sedgwick County Rotary for the dictionaries! Third graders were so excited and spent a lot of time exploring all of the extra information that was included such as sign language, states and countries, and so much more. This is a great tool that will help students for a long time.

High School Art students are beginning their unit on Egyptian Art from 2920 BC- 395 AD. Students will first read and learn about the ancient civilization and how they used art, then create their own Egyptian works of art.

There are so many more benefits to recess than just improving physical health. It gives students the opportunity to interact and practice the social skills they have been taught in school and at home. It improves attention and memory helping them to remain on task in the classroom. In general, recess promotes positive cognitive, social, emotional, and physical outcomes for students.

Rylie Ingram earned the Good News Call of the Day from Mrs. Monette and she was the Family Consumer Science class's Student of the Week. Rylie was nominated by her peers and Mrs. Monette. She is always kind and helpful. She has As in all of her classes. Rylie is a positive example for all of us. Congratulations Rylie! Your hard work has paid off!
