Congratulations to all of our Julesburg High School Fall Athletic Award Winners!

JHS students spent last Sunday morning decorating the school for Christmas! The end of the semester is always hard so they wanted to spread some joy and Christmas cheer!

JHS Sophomores in Life Skills work on their personal mission statements using one of the four recommended methods of putting their thoughts together. Students spent 15 minutes completing a brain dump activity where they continuously write without editing. Once their thoughts are sufficiently purged, they will then edit their work to create a rough draft.

Third Graders are now published authors! Students wrote what each part of P.R.I.D.E (perseverance, responsibility, integrity, diligence, & excellence through effort) meant to them. We sent their writings and illustrations off and received the final product today. The class dedicated their book to Mrs. Palic and the JES students.

High School Art students are making string art ornaments as their Christmas project this year. Students have to sand, stain, design, hammer in nails, and wrap the string.

Recognize these signs?! The Service and Leadership Team spent last Saturday morning painting these signs to give Julesburg a fresh new look!

Go Cougars!

I was so proud of the second graders for their hard work and effort to publish a book! They each created an illustration page to go with their written work.
We received a free class copy of the book and students were allowed to purchase their own book as well.
A HUGE thank you to Rayden’s family for doing the “pay it forward” program. Because of their generosity we received an extra book to give away to a student that didn’t get to purchase a book!!! Thank you again.
Each student will get to keep our book for day in class before it goes on the shelf for them to enjoy the whole year.

Mrs. Monette gave a Good News Call of the Day to Andrew Welch. Andrew helped Mrs. Monette fold all of the table clothes from the Veterans Day program. He is also very respectful, hardworking, and helpful. Way to go Andrew!
