The Service and Leadership Team completed their first project of the 2022-2023 school year. Jeana Johnson with the Fort Sedgwick Historical Society led the Lincoln Highway crosswalk project. Jeana even gave our students a lesson on the history of the Lincoln Highway.
The Lincoln Highway was the first highway in the United States that connected both coasts. This highway went through Julesburg. The highway began on west 2nd street and turned north at Oak street. The signage along the Lincoln Highway displayed a red, white and blue symbol with a blue L centered in the middle.
We are so proud of our Service and Leadership students who made this project possible. Thank you Avery, Jensen, Olivia, Rylie, Tate, Taylor and Vivian! The Service and Leadership Team would like to thank Jeana Johnson for this wonderful opportunity. We would also like to thank Vickie and Jim at Sandkriet Triangle Ranch for sponsoring a delicious breakfast after our work day.
Tomorrow, when you are enjoying Cruise Night, head over to 2nd and Cedar street to check out the Lincoln Highway project.

Kierra Ehnes and Jensen Renquist participated in the fourth annual Broncos High School Media Day which was held at Empower Field at Mile High. Over a hundred student-athletes and activities participants from across Colorado gathered in advance of the 2022 fall season.
The event was an opportunity for select fall sports student-athletes, activities participants and coaches to interact with the media. It included a tour of the stadium, a media relations crash course, a photo shoot and a press conference with two dozen media members from various areas of Colorado.
Congratulations Kierra and Jensen. You represented your school and the Sedgwick County Cougar Volleyball team well. The Sedgwick County Cougar Volleyball season kicks off tomorrow in Julesburg as the Lady Cougars will take on Briggsdale, Haxtun and Flatirons Academy. The first game is slated for 9 am.

Enroll at Julesburg School District!

We are looking for Line Judges for our Volleyball Tournament on Saturday, August 20th. If you are interested, please contact Ryan Renquist at 970-474-3365 or renquist_ry@julesburg.org.
