Third Grade and Pre-K had a visit from some beekeepers today! This is a special job these two girls share with their grandparents and wanted to teach their classmates how bees make honey in a hive. We learned a lot about bees today. Did you know bees have five eyes?

Kindergarten is working on a Weather Unit in Science. Today we made “rain in a bottle.” We talked about the water cycle-evaporation, condensation and precipitation. We also learned what a meteorologist is and made our prediction of tomorrow’s weather.

The entire student body and staff of the Julesburg School District learned about the essential elements of the Standard Response Protocol (SRP) during separate morning assemblies between the elementary and high school buildings. An afternoon assembly will host our substitute teaching staff. SRP is based on the responses to any given situation. It is a uniform, planned, and practiced response to any incident that may occur at school, to ensure student and school safety. By using a standardized vocabulary all students and staff understand the response and status of the event. Parents play an important roll in our safety and success as well and can learn more, by exploring this link: https://5il.co/1hyp3

Paradigms are the way you see something, your point of view, frame of reference, or belief. Sophomores in Life Skills learn the paradigms their classmates have of them in this activity. More often than not our paradigms are way off the mark and create limitations.
