FFA students had the engaging opportunity to visit agriculture in our county! From Campbell Club Lambs to Seaboard Farms and Brandt Boer Goats to Kinnie Farms, these students experienced agriculture first-hand! Special thank you to the Kinnie, Brandt, and Campbell Families and Seaboard Farms for providing this hands-on experience to students!

8th Grade Agriculture students have been learning all about soil! A special thank you goes out to Daniel Palic, Mark Hartelt, and Sherri Brandt at the Sedgwick County Conservation District for presenting to the students about soil health and the NRCS. Students then took their knowledge of soil to try out a soil ribbon test which figures out soil type (loamy, sandy, clay loam, etc). Another thank you goes out to Holly Christensen for allowing us to test her family’s ranch soil!
Joke of the day: How did the farmer find true love? She met her soil mate.
