Thank you to our guest JSD Board of Education Member, Josh Lechman who stopped in to school today to draw our Pawsome ticket winners. Each day our students are recognized for demonstrating "PRIDE" (Perseverance, Responsibility, Integrity, Diligence and Excellence through Effort). Students are given Pawsome tickets each time they are caught showing "PRIDE". On Fridays, tickets are drawn and students are awarded prizes. Thank you Mr. Lechman and keep up the great work JES Students!

A"MAZE"ING! JES 5th and 6th graders were deep in thought learning about the laws of motion. Using friction and gravity, students were tasked with building a maze for a marble to see how slowly it could travel through the maze.

Doing things the "Write" Way! To become good writers, students need to own their writing, receive guidance from a skilled writer, and learn important strategies and skills in order to develop a published piece of work. Here, Mrs. Sanabria is working with her students during her writer's workshop to edit and revise their final copy of their written work. Students are making sure their writing is organized and makes sense, has accurate spelling and is grammatically correct.

JES Students participated in Primary Education Thinking Skills (PETS) and used problem solving skills to create animals out of Tangrams.
