First grade made turkey snacks for our special Thanksgiving treat.  They had a great time making them and enjoyed eating them!




First grade made turkey books for Thanksgiving.  They got to illustrate and write what they were thankful for. 

Second grade read the play for Stone Soup and each shared ingredients and supplies to make Stone Soup.

Kindergarten has been talking about being good citizens in Social Studies.  The other day they picked up the playground during their recess time.  They filled the dumpster up completely!  Way to go Kindergarten! 🎉




The JHS Chapter of FBLA wants to thank everyone for making our Cougar Flag/Poles Fundraiser a HUGE success!!!  We have SOLD out of flag poles but still have flags left if you would still like to purchase one.  They are $50 each, double sided and they measure 28" wide X 40" long. Activity Calendar

Congratulations to Mrs. Monette and her Junior High Brain Bowl Team. The team earned 4th place yesterday. Isabell Torres and Katelyn Reichman were the competitors. They did three rounds with a total of 10 Kahoots. Way to go!
To help with number identification, preschool worked on a sorting activity. We are currently focused on the #2.



Veteran’s Day in second grade included a zoom meeting with a veteran, John Lough. We also honored veterans in the parade and read about the Poppy Lady. The students got to take home poppies and a flag🇺🇸




First graders had a great time at the Veteran’s Day parade.  Thank you to all Veterans!!

The Julesburg School District will provide a grab and go breakfast and lunch on Wednesday, November 25th  (Thanksgiving break, no school - 25th-27th).  We will provide 2 sets of meals on the 25th.  One breakfast and lunch for the 25th and one breakfast and lunch for the 27th.  These meals are free to ALL community children ages 1 through 18 regardless of free/reduced eligibility.  These meals will be available for curbside pick-up at Julesburg Elementary School from 11:00-11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 25th.   If you would like to request these meals, please fill out the form below by Wednesday, November 18th.  Fill out only one form per family - include all children.  Thank you!

The JHS Robotics Team Competed today in the Golden Plains BEST challenge called Outbreak. Students had to build a robot that could isolate infected, uninflected, and immune cells. They could also vaccinate cells. Team members include Katelyn Reichman, Allysa Ellison, Vivian Fraire, William Jacobs, and Rylie Ingram. Thank you to Mark Turner for helping judge today as well as Joel Graber who judged via ZOOM. Results will be in once all area schools have competed at their respective campuses. 



In honor of Veteran’s Day, American History students Kierra Evans, Julia Geschwenter, Hunter Houghton, and Aaliyah Ingram created this beautiful flag to showcase during the reverse parade. On Wednesday,November 11th at 2 pm, please join the students and staff of Julesburg School District on Cedar Street for a parade honoring our local Veterans.
