11 JES students in grades 3-6 attended Ultimate Celebration today at NJS in Sterling. What a fun day learning through dance, art, and music




Third graders explored magnetism through a learning lab. They built their own magnetic fishing poles and fished to observe what objects were attracted to the magnet.





This week spelling bee qualifiers competed in Peetz at the Regional Spelling Bee. A special congratulations goes out to Alexis Boyer and Madison Johnson, who are advancing to the state level next month. Good luck girls!



6th grade gearing up for Jump Rope for Heart!


We are celebrating Random Acts of Kindness Week at JES! So excited to see all of the kindness being spread through our school!


Our amazing vocal music teacher, Mrs. Jacobs and her show choir performed for the elementary and what a performance it was. This group has worked so hard and they have a fantastic show coming up just around the corner. Keep your eyes open for the date and time! Show and tell for second grade is a great way to express oral language, make connections, and learn new vocabulary such as nocturnal. Students that have brought animals are understanding they are a huge responsibility.

JES 5th graders used the action based learning lab to support their learning while studying their spelling words.





First grade is working on fluency by doing a buddy read.





1st week of our Jump Rope Unit. Looking forward to our Jump Rope For Heart performance in March!

JES Kindergartners enjoyed recess today in the Action Based Learning Lab. In the lab, students engage in cross lateralization, locomotor skill development, balance, eye/hand/foot coordination, strength and flexibility, and cardiovascular activities all of which support learning.
