First grade got to make Thanksgiving turkeys for snack before break. We had a great time and enjoyed eating them too!!




4th Graders practice shooting skills during our basketball unit as they play knockout games.




Second grade learned their spelling words with play dough.


5 important parts of a habit is what second grade is learning about through a performance assessment. Habits include air, shelter, food, water, and space.


The JHS Robotics team traveled this weekend to participate in the Denver BEST competition. There was 40 teams from several states including Colorado, Kansas, South Dakota, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Unfortunately, the team didn’t make it into the finals round but learned from the experience in ways that they can apply to next year’s season!

Amazing job to our JES Students on another great performance. Thank you to everyone who attended to support our students and our music program. We also want to give a huge shout out to our incredible music teachers, Beth Jacobs and Tim Kossman. Your hard work does not go unnoticed - excellent performance tonight.





Students in 7th grade technology class are working on designing 3D objects using Tinkercad. Once designed the objects will be printed on our 3D printer!

JES Students and Families...Don't forget about pancakes with Santa and free admission to the movie at the Hippodrome this Saturday, December 7th!


Registration forms will be sent out the week of January 4th. This camp is open to all 1st and 2nd graders in Sedgwick County. Hope to see you on the court!


Just a reminder to all JES K-6th Grade Parents and Students...our music program is Thursday, December 5th at the Julesburg High School Auditorium. Students need to be at the high school by 6:15 p.m. and the program will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.

The Julesburg School District will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, November 26th due to the forecast of blizzard and dangerous travel conditions.


Kindergarten learned about nonstandard units of measure today. We used string to compare and measure objects around the classroom.





Kindergarten is learning about comparing sizes of objects. Our room got a little “stinky” as we compared shoe sizes. 😊 We had a lot of fun though!
