They even explored the commutative property of multiplication—how cool is that? 🤔 No matter the order of factors, the product stays the same

🏆 The range judging season wrapped up yesterday at the State Competition in Yuma! Our students showed incredible improvement over their Regional scores, with some increasing by 100 points! 6th Grade Mathematicians Wrap Up Their Unit with a Creative Tent Design Project! 🏕️
Our 6th graders put their knowledge of surface area and volume to the test by designing their very own tents! 🎨📏 After weeks of learning how to calculate the surface area and volume of various 3D shapes, students applied these skills to a fun, hands-on project.
From choosing the dimensions to sketching out the structure, they did an amazing job turning math into real-world applications. We are so proud of their creativity and hard work! Great job, future architects and engineers! 👏💡 #STEMlearning #MathInAction #6thGradeProjects #CreativeLearning

1st grade students practiced subtracting on a number line. They rolled the dice to see what numbers to subtract from each other and then used the number line to find their answer.

🎓✨ Our seniors are thriving in the Individual Learning Center! They're working independently on various scholarships, diligently meeting all due dates and deadlines. In addition to the two weekly scholarships they’re required to find, many are focused on the Daniels and Boettcher Scholarship opportunities. They're also navigating college applications and specific scholarship opportunities. The flexible seating in the ILC is designed to support their unique needs during this crucial time. Keep up the great work, seniors! 🌟📚 #ScholarshipSuccess #FutureReady

Exploring Life Centers: The Importance of Being Principle-Centered
In "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens," sophomores are introduced to the concept of life centers and the various paradigms that shape our lives. It’s easy to get caught up in centers that ultimately don’t serve us well—friend-centered, stuff-centered, dating-centered, or even parent-centered. While these aspects are part of our lives, they can lead us astray if they become our primary focus.
The book emphasizes the critical shift toward being principle-centered. This approach is about anchoring our lives in universal principles that apply to everyone, regardless of circumstances. When we prioritize principles like integrity, honesty, loyalty, and responsibility, we set ourselves on a path to success and fulfillment.
Why are principles so vital? They offer a solid foundation that remains steadfast, even when life gets challenging. By living in alignment with these core values, we create a sense of purpose and direction. On the other hand, straying from these principles can lead to consequences that hinder our growth and well-being.
In a world filled with distractions and fleeting priorities, embracing a principle-centered life can truly set us apart. It not only helps us navigate challenges with resilience but also fosters deeper, more meaningful relationships. So, let’s commit to centering our lives around principles that empower us and inspire those around us. By doing so, we can excel in our endeavors and build a legacy grounded in integrity and purpose.

Enhancing third graders' math skills through engaging games is an effective strategy in education. Math games promote strategic thinking, support computational fluency, and help develop a strong sense of numbers.
