Earlier this week 24 FFA member competed in the Regional Range Judging competition in New Raymer. The students surveyed and evaluated 2 ecological sites to determine their stocking rate and have to identify 30 plants. We had 3 students place in the Bronze Category. Cooper Edson, Josh Palic, and Noah Harens received those honors as well as being the high 3 placers who determined our team score. The team finished 9th overall. We had several students that were really close to receiving awards. Now it on to the State Competition in October.

FFA District 16 Officer interviews and selection took place during the BIG Conference held in Sterling. Congratulations to Claudia Rhoades for being elected Secretary and Cooper Edson for being elected to the Executive Council. Also, Owen Harris served as the Nominating Committee Chairman and announced the officer team during the conference.

Elementary and the seniors were working on their campaign posters for the mock election that will be coming in October.

Today was an exciting day in Pre-K! We found a cicada during recess and couldn't resist diving into videos to learn more about them. The kids loved discovering the different sounds cicadas make!

Inspiring creativity in the classroom! Our third graders have begun drafting personal narratives by honing in on one small moment. They first rehearsed their stories by sharing with partners, fostering collaboration and communication skills

“Learning can be so much fun when you use your head—literally! 🎈✏️ Watch these kids practice their spelling by hitting a balloon into the air while saying each letter aloud. It’s a great way to stay active and sharp at the same time. Who knew spelling could be this exciting? 🙌 #FunLearning #SpellingChallenge #ActiveMinds”

First and Second grade are learning about facts and opinions. We played a fun game where students would listen to a statement. They would then choose if the statement was a fact or an opinion. Based on their answer, they would complete the appropriate exercise.

🚨 Attention Parents and Students! 🚨
Missing school here and there may seem harmless, but it adds up quickly! If a student misses just 2 days a month, they lose 20 days of school in a year—that's nearly 60 hours of essential learning in Math, Science, Social Studies, and English! Over their K-12 journey, that's equivalent to 1.5 academic years! 😲
What strategies do you use to ensure you or your child attends school regularly? Share below! 👇 #AttendanceMatters #EveryDayCounts

4th graders are learning about fractions. Here they are matching fractions with the picture that represents that fraction.

Carlie Brandt working on her Vet Science course. As animals play an increasingly important role in our lives, scientists have sought to learn more about their health and well-being. Taking a look at the pets that live in our homes, on our farms, and in zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, this course examines some of the common diseases and treatments for domestic animals. Toxins, parasites, and infectious diseases affect not only the animals around us, but at times, us humans as well! Through veterinary medicine and science, the prevention and treatment of diseases and health issues are studied and applied.

🕵️♂️🔍 Our students are on a thrilling quest to solve the mystery of the real number system! As they walk around the classroom, they are reading clues and tackling problems that will lead them to the solution. Collaboration, critical thinking, and a bit of adventure—what a fantastic way to learn! Keep up the great work, detectives! 🧩📖✨
