The aide will provide direct support to students with significant cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities, ensuring they have access to educational opportunities in a safe and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide individualized support to assigned students, assisting with academic tasks, behavioral interventions, and social-emotional development. Collaborate with special education teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Assist students with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, feeding, mobility, and any specialized medical or therapeutic needs. Monitor and support students during transitions, classroom activities, and breaks to ensure safety and engagement. Support communication with teachers, parents, and service providers regarding student progress, challenges, and successes. Foster a positive and supportive relationship with students, encouraging their participation and independence in the classroom. Ensure adherence to school policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality and respecting students' rights. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Early childhood credentials or be willing to complete these courses. Experience working with children, particularly those with disabilities or special needs, is highly desirable. Knowledge of or be willing to be trained in behavioral strategies, adaptive technology, and therapeutic techniques. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. Patience, flexibility, and a strong commitment to supporting students' individual needs. Ability to lift and assist students with physical tasks if required. Must complete a background check. JH football and volleyball practices will start tomorrow. JH football will have equipment checkout tomorrow starting at 3:00 PM in Julesburg. Julesburg students playing football will need to meet at the school at 3:00 PM. Coach Michel will drive the Revere students over to Julesburg. JH volleyball will practice in Ovid tomorrow. Coach Shank will pick up Julesburg students at 2:45pm to transport to Ovid for practice.

The Service and Leadership Team (SLT) completed their first project of the 2024-2025 school year. Students painted the intersections of Second and Cedar streets to commemorate the Lincoln Memorial Highway which ran through this intersection. Jeana Johnson provided our students with this opportunity and gave students a lesson about this historic highway. Check out the student's work while enjoying Cruise Night on August 16th.
