South Dakota School of Mines Assistant Men's Basketball Coach and Julesburg High School Graduate, Roger Trennepol conducted a two day basketball camp for area student athletes. Coach Trennepol taught campers the mental and physical aspects of competing in the game of basketball. Julesburg FFA members traveled to Pueblo, CO to the State FFA Convention. During the convention members attended a Career and College Fair, attened Leadership Workshops and, listened to some amazing speakers inculding the National FFA Secretary. Also five of our members recieved their State FFA Degree which are the first awards for our school. Congratulations to Bella Campbell, Kyle Brandt, Jolene Mathies, Katelyn Reichman and Claudia Rhoades.
Our Service and Leadership Team (SLT) recently completed a service project. SLT painted the baseball dugouts at the Julesburg Baseball Field. Thank you to the Julesburg Family Market, our local True Value retailer for donating 20 gallons of paint as part of True Value Foundation’s 2024 Painting a Brighter Future program. We appreciate this generous donation that made this project possible!
