Our Early Education staff, students, and families enjoyed a Pancakes and Pajamas celebration to finish out the first half of our year. A pancake luncheon was followed by a short musical performance. What a great way to end 2023! We hope that everyone has a very Merry Christmas and we will see you in the new year!

Pre-K has been working on more, less, and the same. They played a game to decide who had more.




Students wear their Christmas sweaters and decorate cookies during Family Consumer Science.



Kindergarteners used the Q-ball today as they counted around the circle. This is a tool that encourages student engagement.







8th Grade students competed multiple stations today. One station was online where students identified linear functions. Another station was matching up verbal descriptions to graphs. The last station was completing a gallery walk and completing multiple tasks cards. Who said math was not fun?








Advanced Art Students are creating Resin Christmas Ornaments and Gnome Paintings! Using Epoxy, and Acrylic Paint. Pictures of Finished products to come.

Preschool has been working on letter recognition. The first focus is on recognizing the letters in our names. Students searched through a pile of letters to find the right ones to spell their names.
We are building skills everyday. Letter recognition is fundamental in learning to read!






Kindergarten is READING!! We are so excited!!







Third Grade students are learning about Ancient Rome in their social studies unit. Students learned how the Romans honored gods and goddesses and that each had a special duty. They chose a god or goddess to research and created a poster with their findings. Students then presented their god or goddess to their classmates.











The Julesburg FFA competed at the District Quiz Bowl and Creed Speaking competition. In Creed Speaking, Josh Palic recieved a Silver Medal and placed 6th overall and Cooper Edson recieved a Gold Medal Placing 5th overall.
Julesburg was also represented by two Quiz Bowl teams. The team of Cooper Edson, Piper Buettenback, and Cash Campbell lost a close First Round battle with Sterling FFA. The team of Levi Reichman, Josh Palic, and Owen Harris made it to the Quarter Finals but came up short against Merino FFA.







Families of 1st and 2nd graders...SCOR is offering a 1st and 2nd grade basketball clinic for 1st and 2nd graders. If interested, PRE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by December 27th. Cost is $15 per athlete. Each athlete needs to fill out a form. Clinics will be January 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd from 4pm-5pm. We will perform at half time of the Boys Varsity Jan 25th in OVID. Time TBD.
