JHS FBLA members are selling Krispy Kreme donuts to assist with covering expenses for attending the upcoming State FBLA Competition. Donut orders and payment will be extended until Monday, March 18th and will be ready for pickup on Thursday, March 21st @ 3:45 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. at the front entrance of the high school located at 401 Cottonwood Street. All orders must be PREPAID or they will not be submitted.

Due to deteriorating weather and road conditions, the Julesburg School District will release students early at 1pm today (March 7th).
Students in Family Consumer Science learn about clothing styles throughout American history, in India, and in South Korea.
Winter is a great time to curl up with a book! The Julesburg High School Library would like to congratulate our Winter Reading Winners: Mrs. Renquist, Shelby Lechman, Katelyn Reichman, Jolene Mathies, and our host and librarian Miss Kreienheder. Winners earned a reading-themed goodie bag full of book stickers, pens, and annotating tape.
Due to the forecast of continued snow accumulation through the night and the deteriorating street/road conditions, school is cancelled for the Julesburg School District on Friday, March 8th. Have a safe and enjoyable Spring Break and we will look forward to seeing everyone back in school on Monday, March 18th when classes resume!

Congratulations Jacob Farrell for earning the Good News Call of the Day from Miss Kreienheder. Here is what Miss Kreienheder had to say: Jacob Farrell is my good news call of the day. I was spread a bit thin this morning and didn't have the time to get to each student with a question. Jacob recognized this need and without saying anything, moved seats to offer other students support. He could have finished his assignment minutes ago, but chose to help others instead of himself.
Junior High Music students Chloe, Addison, Natalie and Lauryn came and did a karaoke sing along session with kindergarten. Thank you girls!! We enjoyed having you!!

Today in Junior High Individual Career and Academic Planning Class we were working on an activity to help the student identify the 16 Career Clusters. One of Andrea's classmates was struggling a bit with the assignment and navigating the website. She politely turned to him and started to guide him through the instructions. She was so kind and patient with him and explained everything correctly, so I just let her continue. I feel he understood it better coming from her!! I appreciate her helping out this student in need while I tended to the rest of the class. He appreciated it too!!!

To help enhance those time-telling skills, Third Grade made their own analog clocks.
Third grade students were learning to tell time to the minute on an analog clock. Students were given a time and discussed what time it was. They then had to explain to their group why they said the time they thought. I was also taught a lesson on telling time to the minute.
