While the Missoula Children's Theatre was in town, students were treated to a workshop on stage makeup. 3rd-6th grade students got to see how to paint animal faces, make it look like you have a bruise, scars, sunburns, and much more. Such great talent these two brought JES students and community.










Are you curious which way water flows or how glaciers move rocks and soil?
Second grade, along with Mr. Brycce, completed an experiment testing those exact things. You might think it's obvious how water flows but we can't assume all students know and understand that.
This experiment was a mini version of how water flows, how rocks and soil are affected by the flow of water on a hill, and how glaciers fit into it all.
We can't wait for more experiments with land and water!








This opportunity is open to all students in grades 6-12.
The Julesburg FFA has been working hard on preparing for the Hired Hand and Student Project sale on March 5th at 6:30 pm.

7th Grade is working on one-step inequalities. They got the chance to complete a pixel art piece. For their correct answers, students got to see more squares of a mystery picture. It was quite the catch!!

Thursday for FFA week was Wear Your Bib Overalls to School Day. At the end of the day, we had a Hog Calling Contest. Liam Buettenback was our winner.




Wednesday's activities for FFA Week included staying safe around power lines and tractors, thanks to Kyle Brandt and Highline Electric. Elementary students got to see some neat demonstrations by both Kyle and the Highline crew. Thank you for taking the time to educate our elementary students about important safety measures!

As part of FFA Week, the Officer Team talked with the elementary students about the FFA Emblem and is hosting a color contest. Those elementary students are coloring the FFA Emblem.



First and second grade made "love monsters" for Valentine's Day and then wrote stories about their monsters.





Mr. Brycce is teaching second grade students about measurement. The students got to create a robot then measure the robot's arms, legs, body, etc.






Attention Parents/Guardians of Julesburg Elementary School Students! The Northeast Colorado Health Department is hosting its annual oral health screenings for our students on March 4th and 5th. Information and permission forms will be sent home with all students. This is a wonderful service and we are grateful to the staff at NCHD for arranging this opportunity for our school community. Please call with any questions you may have. Permission forms are due February 28th.
