Happening TODAY . . . the American Red Cross has an immediate need for blood!!! Our blood drive plays an important role during this time to ensure there are no delays in medical treatment for patients in need. Did you know almost 20% of blood donations come from high school and college blood drives like ours? When donors come to give blood at our blood drive today, October 23 @ the Christian Church in Julesburg, from 12:00 pm - 5:30 pm, they’ll receive an exclusive Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last. 7th grade students traveled the world and collected stamps! They completed problems involving markups, discounts, taxes, and percent change. Each problem was related to a country and we even got to practice our accents!

Does temperature affect states of matter? What containers are best for the materials they contain?
Second grade is investigating these questions through experiments, reading, and videos.
The students got to practice using thermometers to try to prove that temperature does affect states of matter.

Homecoming Grand Finale Day Tomorrow!

When it's Hawaiian Day for Homecoming, you do some Hula Dancing.

6th graders were using a strategy called Rally Coach today as they learned about the elements of drama. Students read a play and had to go back to identify the different elements. Students grouped into partners. One student would ask a question while the other one would write the answer. The other partner listened and then provided feedback and other supportive information to answer the question accurately. The partners would switch roles after each question.
