Homecoming COLOR WARS Tomorrow!

Right now, the Red Cross has an immediate need for blood. Our blood drive plays an important role during this time to ensure there are no delays in medical treatment for patients in need. Did you know almost 20% of blood donations come from high school and college blood drives like ours? When donors come to give blood at our blood drive, October 23 @ the Christian Church in Julesburg, they’ll receive an exclusive Red Cross T-shirt, while supplies last. Plus, all those who come to give blood Oct. 21-Nov. 9, 2023, will receive a $10 e-gift card. To make an appointment, call the school at 474-3364.

Freshmen in Individual Career and Academic Planning take their Personal Growth Plan a step further and researched Mental Health. They explored ways to improve their healthy mindset and emotions. Students then picked a random number and when their number was called they presented their findings and information with the rest of the class. The hats were not required for their presentations - it's Homecoming Week!!!

Third Grade is learning different ways people express themselves. So far we have learned people can express themselves through text messages and letters. Here they are learning the elements of poetry and how poetry is a way to express yourself.

October 8-14 is Fire Prevention week. We pair this with our Community Helper theme and invite JVFD to come visit. Thank you to Dakota Clark for talking to preschool about your firefighting job! Students also learned how to stop, drop and roll if their clothes catch fire and how to low crawl under the smoke to escape a space in classroom activities.

Kindergarten practiced their number writing skills by making numbers on the backs of their partners. Lots of giggles were heard! 😊
