Congratulations to JHS Senior Rylie Ingram for being selected as a Green & Gold Scholarship recipient from Colorado State University. The scholarship award is in recognition for exceptional academic qualifications. This award is for $10,000.


Who knows what time it is? Third grade will in no time. This week started our time unit. Third Graders made analog clocks to help them learn how to tell time to the minute.









Congratulations to Jensen Renquist, who has been selected as a Daniels Scholarship recipient! Daniels Scholars are selected because they embody the criteria Bill Daniels defined for the program:

*Academic performance or promise
*Well-rounded personality
*Emotional maturity and stability
Daniels Scholars also uphold the values that meant so much to Bill Daniels. Those values include ethics and integrity, honesty, respect for people, loyalty and reliability, entrepreneurial spirit, patriotism and dedication to the community, commitment to excellence, and etiquette.
All Daniels Scholars will receive up to $100,000 to be applied at any two- or four-year, nonprofit, accredited college or university in the United States.
Jensen plans to attend the University of Northern Colorado, majoring in Secondary Education-Mathematics. Her goal is to complete a Master's Degree to become a High School/College Mathematics Teacher and serve in a rural community.


Congratulations to Julesburg High School Junior Kaden Harens for being selected to receive the Colorado School of Mines Medal of Achievement in Math & Science. Kaden was awarded this distinction due to his high achievement and accomplishments at the high school level in both Math & Science.


Congratulations goes out to JHS Senior Kierra Ehnes for being selected as a PCtelcom Scholarship recipient. Kierra will receive a $500 scholarship award.


Kindergarten is at the revising and editing phase of their current writing piece. Peer editing started today.😊

Congratulations Jolene Mathies for earning the Good News Call of the Day from Mrs. Ehnes. Jolene was caught up in her work so she kindly pulled up a chair to support another student in his learning!! This is what it's all about . . . students helping students!!! 💜 Way to go Jolene!


Mrs. Edwards has been visiting the 1st grade classroom for the past few weeks teaching them some zones lessons. She taught them some strategies for staying calm when we get upset. Here they are practicing some breathing techniques!



Pre-K is working on combining to 10 using blue and pink "bees".




Let's start measuring! Second grade is using nonstandard units to begin their measurement unit.





Students in Family Consumer Science share clothing from other cultures during our unit on clothing and fashion.




Preschool has been working hard building numbers, letters and shapes with popsicle sticks.

Kindergarten wrapped up their unit by putting the numbers 1-100 in order in a life size 100 grid.



Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office stopped to play frisbee with some students during recess. Students had a blast!! Thank you for stopping by!!





Teachers have been taking classes about whole brain teaching. We put actions to what we are learning so it uses the whole brain and students retain what they are learning. Here the 5th graders are learning about fractions.
