Freshmen students in Individual Career and Academic Planning work on their Personal Growth Plans. The key in life is to strive for personal growth in everything you do so you are working towards your true potential. Personal growth involves learning and practicing news skills. This growth has a mushrooming effect. The more you learn, the more able you are to learn and the closer you move toward your potential. Personal growth is a lifelong process and the first step of this plan is awareness.

Don't be afraid to be you, and respect people who are different than you.
Be Kind, Understanding and Encouraging.
Share your ideas and experiences; they help us learn more deeply.
Mistakes are expected; own them, and learn from them moving forward.

To work on writing skills, first and second grade got to listen to most of a story but not the ending.
We then broke into groups to decide what the ending should be. The groups shared their creative endings using our new speaker balls. (The speaker balls can be thrown and don't get damaged when they drop. It's an easy ways for students to be heard and take turns speaking. It's very motivating for kids to participate when the speaker ball comes out! Thank you Ms. Keli for demonstrating this last year so we would know it was a great product to use!)
Finally students got to work on improving and changing endings in their personal narratives.

Pre-K worked on sorting feelings.

What a beautiful day! Freshman Computer class took advantage of the new Art Room's outdoor capabilities and moved outside for some technology and fresh air! Students are working on EasyTech, learning how to correctly keyboard and use Word Processing Applications.

Pre-K eating lunch in our brand new cafeteria!!

Kindergarten took a "brain break" and enjoyed multiple activities on the new playground.

We had a fabulous first week in preschool! During the first weeks of preschool we talk a lot about rules and expectations. This week we learned about Rule #1 "Follow Directions Quickly". We also had an introduction to our Character Strong curriculum where we talked about how to be kind. We explored the classroom and playground too!!
"Play is the highest form of research"~Albert Einstein

Second grade students got rewarded with an extra recess after discussing rules for the new playground. We hope this will keep them safe and ensure good manners so everyone can enjoy recess. They were so excited to try it out!
