Third Grade working on their graphing skills. Students chose a city and looked up the annual precipitation for each month. Students then put their research into a graph like scientists do with the data they collect. They shared their findings with a partner.

Being a senior is no easy task especially when it comes to collecting, identifying, deciphering, and conveying your personal information onto your General Scholarship Application form. Seniors in Life Skills worked tirelessly setting up their personal applications to catch the Grantor's attention in hopes of receiving scholarship money for their post-secondary education. Seniors here are gathered around the printer anxiously awaiting to see how their final application actually printed out!

The sophomores in Life Skills Class are learning about Relationship Bank Accounts (RBA).  In this exercise students are reading about what actions are considered RBA deposits and what actions are considered RBA withdrawals.  Unlike a bank where you may have only one or two accounts, you have an RBA with everyone you meet.  If you smile and say hello to someone you don't know, you've just opened an account with that person.  Same is true if you don't acknowledge someone you don't know, you've opened an account as well, although a negative one.  How's your RBA balance?

Sixth grade is trying out a new strategy. After reading their social studies chapter with a partner, they chose one person to be the scribe and one person to find the answer. It was a good exercise in collaboration!

My good news call for today goes to Ana Laura! Today, Ana handed me her final assignment for the semester in ALL ENGLISH! I can't even imagine the extra work she has to do to complete her assignments, and I was beyond excited today to see her answering EACH question in detail, and in English! From Ms. Kreienheder

Third Grade working hard on their multiplication facts. Gracie has been reading a book that has a game called Mathketball. She thought it would be fun to do in our class so she got to be the teacher for a little while.

Second grade is learning cursive! This is an important skill to be able to read and write cursive. After we practice all the letters, we will practice writing their whole name and hopefully their writing projects! We talk about the power of yet. They may not be good at it “yet” but with practice it will improve! Good learners like challenges!
