3rd graders are practicing their calming down skills and learning how to handle accusations. First they need to stop, name their feelings, and calm down. One calm down strategy is to take a belly breath. They put their hands on their tummy and breathe in through their nose and out through their mouth.

Here is our amazing music teacher, Mrs. Jacobs working hard with her sixth graders over the past several weeks learning to play the chimes. Learning to play the chimes also helps students to learn to read music, build memory skills. improve eye-hand coordination, and develop patterns and sequences which also supports the area of mathematics.
