Melissa Smith, Northwest Kansas Technical College, meets with the juniors and seniors from JHS to discuss the career pathways they provide and how to sucessfully pay for your post-secondary education.

Mr. Ehnes, JHS Superintendent, joined the Class of 2025 as they were awarded a pizza party for achieving the highest percentage of students to achieve their fall NWEA goals. They were eager to discuss their scores with him and the strategies they put into play in order to reach their personal goals.

This is a wonderful opportunity to take part in the Love and Logic series locally. This is open to all community members! A great course for both parents and caregivers of young children. You will gain valuable knowledge and skills that you can use Day 1. Please come join us!!


SSgt Hopper and PVT Nelson of the U.S. Marine Corp talked to our students today about the additional options they have when planning for their post-secondary educational endeavors. The students learned the various jobs that are available in this branch as well as the ways to pay for a college education along the way. The students were most appreciative of their time and most importantly their service to our country.

Congratulations to the Freshmen Class! They earned a Pizza party for being the class with the highest percent of students who achieved their goal on the Fall NWEA tests! Way to go Freshmen!!! We are very proud of you!

Let’s hear it for the Seniors!! Winner of the best class float at homecoming with their Disney Villain float! Congrats! Students in each class from Ovid and Julesburg collaborated to create amazing floats for the parade on Friday.
