I love seeing the smiling, happy faces of students playing at recess. I witnessed younger students asking older students for help and without hesitation they say,”Yes.” I watched students including our new students in their games. This shows our PRIDE. Way to go and keep up the good work.

#FightTheFunk, founder Kaden Piel of Merino High School arranged to have Ethan Fisher, a Mental Health Advocate speak to various students in the Northeast Colorado Region in hopes of restoring some normalcy back to our teens and their lives as they continue through this pandemic. Mr. Fisher was hosted at the Bank of Colorado Event Center on NJC’s campus. Juniors in Life Skills cut out the raindrops used to spread weekly kindness within our school. The Appreciation Station was created by the Class of 2023 . . . each week students draw a random name of another student, write them a positive/encouraging message on their raindrop and leave it for that student in the appropriate, class designate, raindrop bucket! On Friday mornings, students receive their raindrops.
