JES Students had a terrific time in Halloween activities created and facilitated by our student council and intermediate teachers Mrs. Lewis and Mrs. Dillenburg. Students also visited our assisted living and nursing home facilities and ended with a group dance.
Preschool had a wonderful Halloween party with costume parade through the elementary building, craft, snack and Spookely the Square Pumpkin
Preschool read “The Tiny Seed” by Eric Carle as part of a lesson about the life cycle of a pumpkin.
As a part of the JES Fall Festivities, students K-6th visited the Sedgwick County assisted living and nursing home to go on a costume parade.
Elementary student Council is learning the dance to Thriller to teach the younger grades during our fall party!
Preschool learned about the life cycle of a pumpkin.
The Julesburg Jr./Sr. High School Band brave the elements to provide their support to the SCC Cougar Football team and community.
4th, 5th, and 6th graders during drama class as they practice to enunciate their lines!
Third graders enjoyed reading to nursing home residents today. They really put their reading abilities to work! We look forward to going back next week!

November 3-9 Activity Calendar
Kindergarten is working on recognizing, counting and writing the numbers 0-10. We practiced these numbers by doing actions with our counting today!
Kindergarten continues to show growth in reading!! We are reading books with a few more words. We are also focusing on the skill of pointing to each word as it is read.
Second graders are learning about our community by making 3-d replicas of some of the buildings around Julesburg. They are adding incredible details to make them very realistic. Each group member was responsible for completing a certain part of the completed product.
Getting ready to begin...the JES 5th Grade Poetry Cafe. Parents and students are just sitting down for coffee, hot chocolate and doughnuts. Looking forward to hearing some amazing poetry!
7th grader, Madison Johnson, is working on her Notan in art. The class is learning about positive and negative space in art and the balance of light and dark.
The Pre-Algebra students are using their online book to solve equations using the order of operations (PEMDAS).
