
The Regional Spelling Bee is on Feb. 6! The Peetz School will be hosting it this year! So proud of these students!



Kindergarten has been exploring solid and flat shapes in Math. We completed a “Fill the Hexagon” activity using pattern blocks.





First grade is learning about the weight of different objects by using a pan balance.

The 8th-grade students from Julesburg High School attended a Career Fair at the Phillips County Fairgrounds. Students were able to select 6 different presentations based on the Colorado Career Cluster Model. Those areas include:
· Business, Marketing & Public Administration
· Agriculture, Natural Resources & Energy
· STEM, Arts, Design & Information Technology
· Hospitality, Human Services & Education
· Health Science, Criminal Justice & Public Safety
· Skill Trades & Technical Sciences




Welcome to the JES Action Based Learning Lab! Thanks to NE BOCES, the Colorado Health Foundation and the Northeastern Colorado Health Department, our room is set up and staff and students have spent the week learning to use the equipment as well as how this movement supports learning. 5th graders are having a Bake Sale Monday, January 20th before and after school to give to Australia


5th grade - giving to Australia. We made “thinking of you” cards and will be having a bake sale on Monday to raise some money to send along with our cards. Please stop by the elementary on Monday, January 20th before or after school to help support our efforts.



6th graders were learning about the Inca Quipu



Kindergarten recited “Truckery Rhymes” and sang songs to the residents of the Nursing Home. A fun afternoon for all!!!

JES 3rd graders are conducting experiments about the different types of motion and friction.




In Second Step, all students worked on coming up with goals for the new year. We made our goals SMART: Specific, Measurable, Actionable/Attainable, Relevant/Realistic, and Time-bound.




Pre-K working on identifying and writing the #4.


Highline Power and Tri-State Electric visited with several science classes this afternoon. They presented information about working as a lineman, electric safety, and where our power comes from.


First graders are working on addition facts by playing the game I have, Who has?




Students are working together on identifying slope of a line during Geometry.
