Geometry students are working on Two Column Proofs!! Using the whiteboard is a great way for students to get hands-on experience laying out the steps of a geometric proof. They can work through the given information, statements, and reasons to logically arrive at the conclusion.
The second grade recently completed their unit on Ancient China. They explored the teachings of Confucius, created Chinese dragons, practiced writing in Chinese, and concluded with a performance assessment. For the assessment, students wrote postcards to someone of their choice, summarizing everything they had learned about Ancient China.
🐑 Our JH Ag Exploration and Animal Science classes just wrapped up an exciting unit on Sheep Management! We explored different types of sheep, their various uses, and common diseases. We even discussed the animals that protect them, like donkeys and llamas. To celebrate, we had a special visit from Hank the Babydoll Sheep and Larry the Llama! Owen working on his Entrepreneurship I online course. In this introductory business course, Owen is learning the basics of planning and launching his own successful business. Whether he wants to start his own money-making business or create a non-profit to help others, this course will help Owen develop the core skills he needs to be successful. He will also be learning how to develop new business ideas, attract investors, market his business, and manage expenses.

✨ Exciting news from our third-grade classroom! This week, students dove into multiplication by rolling dice to create equations and drawing equal groups and arrays. They even explored the commutative property of multiplication—how cool is that? 🤔 No matter the order of factors, the product stays the same
🏆 The range judging season wrapped up yesterday at the State Competition in Yuma! Our students showed incredible improvement over their Regional scores, with some increasing by 100 points! We had four students just 10 points shy of medaling. Special shoutouts to Mackenzie Lopez, Cooper Edson, and Lauryn Lindsay, our top finishers, who helped us secure 14th place out of 26 teams. Great job, everyone!
Students in Family Consumer Science are conducting research on foodborne illnesses to understand the causes, symptoms, and prevention of diseases caused by contaminated food. They are studying bacteria, viruses, and parasites, such as Salmonella and E. coli. They have learned about proper ways to handle, store and cook food.
The seventh grade World History class was preparing their projects to show different technologies used during the Paleolithic period.

6th Grade Mathematicians Wrap Up Their Unit with a Creative Tent Design Project! 🏕️
Our 6th graders put their knowledge of surface area and volume to the test by designing their very own tents! 🎨📏 After weeks of learning how to calculate the surface area and volume of various 3D shapes, students applied these skills to a fun, hands-on project.

1st grade students practiced subtracting on a number line. They rolled the dice to see what numbers to subtract from each other and then used the number line to find their answer.

In Kindergarten today, we utilized 10 frame flash to enhance number recognition and counting skills among our young learners. This hands-on approach not only makes learning enjoyable but also fosters a love for math from an early age.
