A huge thank you goes out to Vickie and Jimmy Lanckriet for their generous donation of two wonderful books to each student in our kindergarten class. 📚 The classics "Oh, The Places You'll Go" by Dr. Seuss and "The Night Before Kindergarten" by Natasha Wing will surely become favorites among our young readers. These books are perfect for encouraging a love of reading and helping our little ones navigate the exciting world of kindergarten. Your support means the world to us and our students. It's community members like you who make a real difference in children's education. 💖 Each teacher that these students have throughout their years of schooling will write a little note and the students will get the "Oh the Places You'll Go" book at their graduation. 🎓 Again-thank you!!

Shelby Lechman working on her Summit Skills For Health course.  Summit Skills For Health focuses on important skills and knowledge in nutrition; physical activity; the dangers of substance use and abuse; injury prevention and safety; growth and development; and personal health, environmental conservation, and community health resources.  The curriculum is designed around topics and situations that engage student discussion and motivate students to analyze internal and external influences on their health-related decisions.  This course will help Shelby build the skills she needs to protect, enhance, and promote her own health and the health of others.

Ms. Miller gave the Good News Call of the Day to Cameron Ortiz and Matthew Reichman for displaying Responsibility and Integrity. Today in computer class, Mr. Boehm was working to get NWEA installed. Right as Ms. Miller was about to tell the kids who were done to get on Typing.com to practice typing, Ms. Miller sees Cameron and Matthew already doing It! She didn't even have to ask, they just took the initiative to be on task and get started. Way to go Cameron and Matthew!

Save Fred! Third Grade worked on their team building skills by rescuing Fred (the gummy worm) from his capsized boat and safely getting the life preserve around his body. They had to work together using only 4 paper clips to complete the task without Fred falling in the water.
