Our 3rd graders paired up with Mrs.Hansen's preschool students, and the joy of choosing books and reading together filled the air. As Dr.Seuss said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."

Second and sixth graders teamed up to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday with a special read-in event.
Due to the forecast of Blizzard conditions in the morning, the Julesburg School District will have a delayed start at 10am tomorrow (March 4th). Due to the unpredictability associated with this storm, we will re-evaluate the need for additional cancellation based on the actual weather, visibility and road conditions in the morning. Any additional need for cancellations will be communicated no later than 8am tomorrow morning.
The Julesburg FFA is postponing the Hired Hand Auction to March 11 at 6pm. This is anticipation of winter weather and wind. It will still be at the Fairgrounds

High school choir has changed tunes (no pun intended) and has begun learning how to play hand chimes! The class was skeptical at first, but have quickly learned to enjoy creating beautiful sounds.
In our Character Strong lesson today, Kindergarteners took turns passing a ball while sharing their feelings. It was a wonderful way to connect and understand one another better! 🌟
🌕🚀 Our 6th graders are on a mission to the moon! As part of their reading module on exploring space, they’re building detailed diagrams, designing new ways to travel to the moon, and creating rovers that can navigate the lunar surface. Our 6th graders have wrapped up their reading module on the Great Depression in a creative way—by making tin can phones just like kids did during that time! Through this hands-on activity, they got a glimpse into the resourcefulness of families during the 1930s while connecting their learning to real-life experiences. History truly comes to life when you can hear it through a string!
Our 5th graders are making math fun with Multiplication Bingo! As they work on mastering their multiplication facts, they’re sharpening their skills through an engaging and interactive game. Who knew learning could be this exciting? Keep up the great work, 5th grade!

Our Julesburg FFA members put their skills to the test at the District Speaking Competition, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments!
🏆 Claudia Rhoades placed 1st overall in the Gold Category and will represent District 16 at the State Convention in June! She also competed in Extemporaneous Speaking, earning a spot in the Bronze Category.
🎤 Kaitlynn Hauff competed in Employment Skills, placing in the Bronze Category—an incredible achievement as the only freshman in the competition!
📢 Kendra Kunkel and Elizabeth Harris both competed in the Prepared Speaking Competition and placed in the Bronze Category!
