Kindergarten is learning all about sorting using size, shape and color as identifiers. We are also working on recognizing same/different. Today was one of our favorite lessons getting to sort buttons from “The Button Box.”

Congratulation to Joseph Beeson for earning the Good News Call of the Day. Joseph has shown leadership and responsibility skills this week. He washed a lot of dishes and helped clean the kitchens when we made burritos. He also was a leader during a debate we had today. Way to go Joseph!

Hunter earned the Good News Call of the Day for being super helpful in Journalism/Yearbook. Hunter helped a student determine all of the necessary steps on his computer. This student was very appreciative and felt comfortable going to Hunter for help. Way to go Hunter!

Junior High Art Class is doing their 10min. of silent sketch time. They participate in this every day for the beginning of class. Because the right brain does not know language or time, the 10 min. are used to engage and tap into their creativity.
Financial Aid Officer, Kaitlin DeWerff, of Barton Community College works with the JHS Class of 2023 on their first steps in the process of applying for Federal Student Aid. Today the students navigated the website and created their Federal Student Aid ID’s in order to apply. Each college bound student is encourage to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid to access the largest source of financial aid to pay for college and career school. This form is also used to assist colleges, universities, and technical schools determine edibility for state and school aid.
FAFSA officially opens on October 1st.
